

Ingredients
½ cup rolled oats
1 cup milk (or water)
1 small apple, diced
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings chopped nuts, raisins or flaxseeds
Instructions
Add rolled oats, milk, and a pinch of salt to a saucepan
Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer
Stir in diced apple and cinnamon
Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy
Remove from heat once oats are soft and thick
Stir in honey or maple syrup if desired
Serve warm and add toppings of choice

Use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version
Add a scoop of protein powder for extra protein
Swap apple for pear or berries for variety
